A lot of learning happened the last week of the half term!
In maths, we finished our work on fractions! We learnt how to find fractions of whole amounts (2/3 of 72) as well as how to write fractions as a decimal number. We finished fractions by writing the same test we wrote at the beginning of the term. We all showed such great improvement! Well done!
This week, we combined our project and English work so that we could write a newspaper article on the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922. To write this article, we had to learn how to write direct and reported speech and use facts about the event.
On Tuesday, the entire school participated in Safer Internet Day. Year 5 focused on how to use and view imaged safely online. We continued our work with portraits and will hopefully be ready to paint them once we come back from the half term break.
Have a great break everyone!
